The Josefina Story Quilt

"Please can I take Josefina?"

"She is too old to lay eggs and too tough to eat"

Hello,every one. Today I read this book.

 There is the family that be going  to go to California in a coverd wogon.

Faith, an small girl, wants to take an old hen, Josefina.

But her father get nervous because the hen is too old to lay eggs and too tough to eat.

In the trip, he  try to have josefina gone away many times.

"Josefina may be old,"he said, "but she is a humdinger of a watchdog."

The next day of the day Josefina squawked and chased away two robbers, she died.

The family mourn the hen and stitch the patches together into a quilt for Josefina.
